Story

Goddess Parvati was born as the daughter of King Himavan with the sole purpose of reuniting with Lord Shiva, her eternal companion. After the loss of Goddess Sati, Shiva had withdrawn into deep meditation, detached from worldly life.

Parvati performed intense penance for years to gain Shiva’s attention and devotion. Her dedication, purity, and love finally melted Shiva’s heart. The gods celebrated their divine union, as it brought balance to the universe.

Their wedding was a grand yet simple affair at Mount Kailash, attended by gods, sages, animals, spirits, and celestial beings. This marriage represents the union of consciousness (Shiva) and energy (Shakti), showing that creation cannot exist without balance between the two.
